Project Esperanza offers a residential program in the Dominican Republic for Haitian refugee boys who have come seeking new opportunities. Many of these boys have experienced profound hardship, having lived as servants or independently on the streets, where they confront language barriers, cultural differences, and discrimination while trying to earn a living. Our program is specifically designed to provide the support and resources these boys need to thrive and build a better life.
Our residential services also extend to orphaned or abandoned girls and boys from the communities served by our two elementary schools. For every child in our care, we comprehensively meet their basic needs, providing safe housing, food, clothing, medical attention, and the vital opportunity of education, ensuring their well-being and future success.
